A note from the Webmaster:
So that all of the JLGEC's funds can be returned to the community, it was necessary to create this website with as many free services as possible. We would like to thank the following organizations for helping to make this site possible:
The Junior League of Greater Elmira-Corning, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and to improving the community through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is educational and charitable.
CONGRATULATIONS to our 2014 Community Grant recipients! $5,000 has been awarded to Health Ministry of the Southern Tier to help local families reach their current health care needs. $5,000 has been awarded to the Southside Community Center to help local children have after school and summer programs available to them. Last, but not least, $5,000, has been awarded to the Economic Opportunity Program to help fund the Center of Excellence Program in which local students will focus on Academic Enrichment, Art & Culture, and Health & Fitness.
